Amanahbody is a calm, considered space designed for mindful movement, focus, and respect for yourself and for others.
These guidelines help us protect the atmosphere and honour the lineage of the work.
Studio Guidelines
Privacy
Your practice is private.
- No client will ever be photographed or shared without consent
- For pre/post-natal classes, the space may be shown, but children’s faces are never captured
Phones
Amanahbody is a phone-free practice space.
- Phones must be placed in the locked lockers provided in the changing area before class
- No filming is permitted during class
- Photos may be taken before or after, provided no other clients are captured
- If you do take photos, please tag us it supports our visibility. Thank you
Barefoot Practice
- If you prefer coverage, bring your own secure grip socks
- Grip socks must be worn only on the apparatus (not outdoors or in trainers)
- Outdoor shoes are not permitted on the studio floor or any apparatus
What to Wear
- Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement
- Layers are encouraged remove them as your body warms, and use them again during quieter moments
Modesty & Women-Only Classes
Some classes are women-only.
During these hours, the studio operates exclusively for women, and no men are permitted in the space.
Safety and Responsibility
Please honour your body and inform your teacher of any injuries, pregnancies, or medical conditions before class.
- An online PAR-Q must be completed before attending
- Mothers attending with toddlers remain fully responsible for their child at all times
Respecting the Space
- Arrive a few minutes early to change, bathe your feet, and settle before practice
- Move quietly and respectfully to support the atmosphere of concentration
Cleaning the Apparatus
Spray bottles and tissues are provided.
- Please spray the tissue, not the apparatus this protects the leather and wood.
- Wipe down all surfaces you’ve used, paying particular attention to the footbar.
Etiquette
- Wash hands before and after practise.
- No food or drink in the practice space.
- No chewing gum while using apparatus.
- No phones in the studio all devices remain in lockers.
- Ensure your PAR-Q is completed online, and verbally share any medical considerations with your teacher.
Accessibility & Location
How to find us
The studio is easy to reach from anywhere in Leeds.
We are close to Scott Hall Road, Roundhay Road, and Harrogate Road and approximately 10 minutes from the city centre by car or bus.
Bus routes (30 seconds from the studio):
- Primary routes: 2, 3
- Additional routes: 3A, 7, 7A, 13, 13A, 48 (First Bus), 36 (Transdev)
City Centre boarding points:
- Vicar Lane (near V4, Kirkgate Market)
- New Briggate (near N2, Grand Theatre)
Arrival and Access
- Free parking is available at both the front and back of the studio
- Walking from Leeds City Centre takes approximately 20 minutes via a direct route
